My guest this evening is IAN FREEMAN, CEO of The Freeman Group, based in Boca Raton, Florida, representing Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, and a sought-after, nationally and internationally known speaker who gives motivational and informational presentations on the financial services industry.

Ian is husband of Lori Friedman, and son-in-law of the great Sid Friedman, also an insurance executive, and motivational speaker, someone I knew, loved and represented in public relations. Ask Sid about what he did for a living, and his reply was, “I sell LOVE.” Knowing Sid as I did, he was telling the truth. And from what I know of Ian, his philosophy is similar: the point of his business is taking care of people, helping people with the attitude, “It’s never about me – it’s about THEM.” And three of the most important words in helping people are: PASSION, BELIEF and CHARACTER.

We’re going to talk to Ian about his humane philosophy in running a business; advice to young people about people above profits, and succeeding in a new career; and ask him to throw in some information about insurance and financial advice.
