Celebrating 25 successful years of the World HR Development Congress and its convener and loving guardian, Dr. Raju Bhatia.
The show discusses the parallels between HR activities and “hotspots” in the US and India and the evolution of issues and focus’ on compensation and benefits, training and development, coaching, and diversity and inclusion as well as sustainability and CSR. Through the years Dr. Bhatia has built the conference to include focus on each of these areas and to bring global expertise (this year representatives from 138 countries) to share information and network. An HR generalist with over 32 years of industry experience (in Indian Corporates including, a subsidiary of Brook Bond, a South Korean J V & a Japanese MNC). Based in India, Mr. Dutt’s previous experiences included the responsibility of managing HR across International geographies/locations.

With a strong focus on Human Resource Management, Mr. Dutt’s experience incorporate in depth knowledge of all functional areas of HR, Personnel and IR. While working at various organizations, Mr. Dutt has also had the opportunity to associate with various management/HR consulting companies such as McKinsey, BCG, Hewitt, Hays, and Mercer for organizational interventions & projects.

Mr. Dutt is currently associated with First Equals Global as their Leadership & HR practice head. He worked as President & Head HR in Praj Industries Ltd. A globally leading Company with over 600 references in more than 60 countries across five continents, Praj, listed in BSE/NSE, is India’s most successful biofuels company, taking bio based technologies from India to the world. Praj offers innovative solutions for beverage alcohol and bioethanol plants, brewery, water & wastewater treatment plants, critical process equipment and systems and bio products.

Prior to this Mr. Dutt was working as President & Head – Group HR in ABG Group comprising ABG Shipyard Ltd, ABG Cement Ltd & other group companies. Recipient of global awards viz, Lloyds List Award, Seatrade & Dun & Bradstreet awards. ABG is the largest shipbuilding company in India in the private sector with an order book of approximately $3 billion USD. Its prestigious clients include the Indian Navy & Indian Coast Guard . ABG has major interests in shipbuilding, shipping, ship repair & refit, offshore rigs, cement, engineering & construction, Mining, Energy, etc.

A prolific author and leading HR practitioner, Dr. Saagarika Ghoshal most recently was a Board Member and Director – Human Resources for METRO Cash and Carry in Mumbai, India. Her Board affiliation and HR track record spans more than 23 years across a spectrum of industry sectors that include telecom, financial services, aviation, media & entertainment and retail. An alumnus of Stanford, NMIMS and Banasthali Vidhyapith. A diversity expert, an international speaker, she is also a certified Director.
