Michael del Rial is a Nano-Engineering B.Sc. student at the University of California in San Diego. He tells us his story growing up in Calexico and his early desire to explore new opportunities in new places beyond Imperial Valley. His decision to go from Calexico High School to Imperial Valley having in his mind applying to a four-year university. He will also tell us about the challenges he faced in his first year at UC San Diego and how the community, different student groups and his friends in the program help him out to find his track in UC San Diego and in the Nano-Engineeering program.
