Guest 3: Richard Rovsek enjoys a reputation as one of the nation’s premiere marketing executives and brings more than 50 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations to the Spirit of Liberty Foundation and American Warrior Brands, as its unpaid Chairman.
Mr. Rovsek created and launched the American Warrior Brands®, a consumer products company founded to provide meaningful jobs and income for members of our Armed Forces who were wounded in combat. American Warrior Brands goal is to hire 250 or more America’s Heroes by the end of 2017.
He created The Freedom Bell to “honor our Armed Forces past, present and future” and had the Bell cast by the 171 year old family owned Verdin Company. The Freedom Bell is becoming an American Icon with over 3,000,000 people seeing, touching and ringing the Bell in the first 3 years.
Spearheaded important programs for the Spirit of Liberty Foundation to raise awareness and support for America’s real heroes, our Armed Forces, with an emphasis on Fallen Heroes Families, Wounded Warriors and their families.
The Connecting Heroes program lifts the spirits of our Wounded Warriors when they return stateside. The hospital staff learns who their heroes are, i.e. an athlete, actor, astronaut, or even a President. The Foundation then arranges for personalized letters, photos, memorabilia and even a personal visit from the celebrity to the soldier. Organized the “Crossing of America,” which featured the Spirit of Liberty Jeeps driving coast-tocoast, border-to-border through 44 states and the District of Columbia to raise awareness for our Armed Forces. The tour was supported by celebrities, 39 Governors and Presidents including George H.W. Bush.
