Gregoire Poirier is a credentialed Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers since 1995. Feeding an intellectual curiosity he received a Masters of Business Administration from L8217;Ecole de Management in Bordeaux, France. An entrepreneur with a background in wine, hospitality, and technology he is always looking ahead. Now he8217;s on a quest to recognize and classify the best in class vineyards across the U.S. as Founder of The American Grand Cru Society. In spending months and years researching and traveling to the most important wine regions of the world he believes that great wines come from great vineyards. His background includes import/export, buying, and hosting private wine tours to Bordeaux for Calvert Woodley in Washington DC, and with private clients to Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, and the Southern Rhone Valley. Poirier resides in Washington D.C.
