Michelle Malin, Vice President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, chats about the organization’s busiest and most successful summer ever as it launched a new program entitled SWAG (Summer With A Goal). The focus of SWAG was to stem the summer learning loss that impacts many students.  Malin shouts out the Clubs’ annual major fundraiser – An Evening of Changing Lives – that will be held on Saturday, September 22.  Malin discusses the organization’s largest funding need:  the replacement and expansion of its existing fleet of school buses.

Dr. Laura Shawver, Founder of The Clearity Foundation, is joined by the Foundation’s Executive Director, Hillary Theakston, to talk about the Foundation’s mission to improve the survival and quality of life of women with ovarian cancer.  Shawver, an ovarian cancer survivor, and Theakston discuss the Foundation’s myriad services and its 10th Annual Celebration – “Teal Woman” – that is slated to be held on Sunday, September 16 at Paradise Point.
