1 Sherrie Gould, Executive Director of the Summit For Stem Cell Foundation, and Andres Bratt-Leal, Director of Research and Development for the Foundation, talk about life-changing research being conducted by Bratt-Leal and the Foundation that would dramatically enhance the lives of those living with Parkinson’s Disease. Gould and Bratt-Leal are joined by two Parkinson’s patients – Douglas Burcombe and Michael Abrams – who will participate in a 28 mile hike to Machu Picchu with 30 other hikers/trekkers on October 8. Gould, Bratt-Real, Burcombe and Abrams talk about the critical need to raise money for this important stem cell research.
2 Martha Murphy, Leader/Founder of the Dystonia Support & Advocacy Group of San Diego County, is joined by Emmy-award winning guitarist, Billy McLaughlin, to talk about this neurological disease. McLaughlin, an Ambassador for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, won his first Emmy in 2013 AFTER being diagnosed with Dystonia. McLaughlin will be performing in San Diego on October 15.
