Since 1888 the Fessy family has been based in the heart of the Brouilly appellation. Over the years they have purchased choice parcels of vineyards in most of the 10 Crus and the Beaujolais-Villages appellations to create the enviable domain today of nearly 70 hectares of prime vineyards. Some vineyards stand out because of their topography, altitude or highly specific soil-type. The concentration of granite is particularly dense in the northern part of the region where we find the 10 Beaujolais Crus: Brouilly, Ch233;nas, Chiroubles, C244;te de Brouilly, Fleurie, Juli233;nas, Morgon, Moulin 224; Vent, R233;gni233;, and Saint Amour.” Website: Henry Fessy;

Laurent Chevalier, Directeur, Vins Henry Fessy Crus Beaujolais of Brouilly likes to play tricks on his friends. He pours the Henry Fessy Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2009, label covered, and asks…. “What is in the glass?” The 2009 vintage is exceptional for drink-me-now and lay-away.
