What do the numbers 13, 17, and 10 have in common? Theyre all the square roots of some incalculable Einsteinian formula describing the big bang theory? Theyre all retired jerseys of New York Jets hall of famers (are there anyI know, Broadway Joe?). They add up to 37? How bout sub sandwiches with incredible fresh ingredients piled high on 15 fresh-baked breads and made Mikes Way! Thats right--JERSEY SUBS, right from the shores of Jersey, and now spreading across the country faster than Frankie Valle and Jersey Boys. Jeff had the great pleasure of attending the grand opening of JMs first store in San Diego, and is joined by Dan Burrell, Area Director for LA/Orange Counties, and Cathy Brown & Steve Leonard, Area Directors for San Diego/Riverside/San Bernadino Counties for a an insiders look not only at the menu, but the history and the culture of JERSEY MIKES. When it comes to choosing the right franchise concept and putting in the right place, these company leaders got it rightright from the beginning!
OK, so what does a middle-aged man know about being a mother, an executive, and a visionary? Not much, I suppose, but Allison O'Kelly, founder and CEO of MOM CORPS, recognized that Jeff had the one ingredient most important in discussing the ecomomy, the position of women in the marketplace, and the changing cultural values of work/lifestyle balancehe had a mom! Well, these are great topics, and dynamic women founders and CEOs like Deb Evans of COMPUTER EXPLORERS, Ann Costlow of SOFIES CREPES, Cynthia Gartman of COUNTRY PLACE LIVING, Barb Moran of MORAN INDUSTRIES, and, of course, Dina Dwyer-Owens of THE DWYER GROUP have all been on The Franchise Show this year to provide their prospective and commentary. Allison OKelly is joined with her newest franchise from Philadelphia, Nicole Harris to add to our growing registry of knowledge on this evolutionary shift in the Americanand globalworkplace. Thanks MOM (CORPS)!
