Let’s hear about what makes a great franchise organization from Steve Bursten. It is the objective of The Franchise Show to enable prospective franchisees and franchisor stakeholders to hear about a company directly from the person at the top, and we got that from Steve, with an interview that let’s you not only understand the product and the franchise opportunity, but the man who has his hand on the throttle Thanks, Steve—we all admire and respect your vision and commitment to your concept and your franchisees.
How’s the quality of life and the economy in the Midwest? Let’s ask Ralph Martin from his vantage point in Cincinnati, Ohio. The good news is that things are not as bad as we fear, and even Detroit has a pulse now that the Cash for Clunkers program has stripped cars from dealer’s showrooms around the country and put auto workers back on the assembly line replenishing inventories. Ralph E. Martin has been the President and a Member of the Board of Directors of Fresh Coat since the organization began in early 2005. Since then, Fresh Coat has grown to nearly 70 markets across North America, with more than 60 new franchise owners and employees who completed training in 2008 alone. Thanks, Ralph—send over a gallon of Swiss Coffee for the living room!
Veterans make great franchisees, and Don Hay, Founder & Chairman, is onboard to discuss Maid Brigade’s program to put one lucky vet in business at no cost. Even without this special promotion, Don has always had a commitment to the men and women who have served our country in uniform, with his participation in the VetFran program of the International Franchise Association, and his own special considerations for vets wishing to be part of Maid Brigade’s very successful organization. Many thanks from a fellow vet, Don—we salute you.
Let’s talk about the next generation of franchising with Gerry Keane. Who better than Gerry—he’s clearly part of it. Did you know 10% of all carbon emissions are related to lawn care and maintenance? Well, Gerry does, and he has set about to change the way America and the world mow the lawn—and to make a contribution to the quality of life for all of us.
