One of the featured applications is a line of RTLS (realtime location system) tags being used at a cancer center in San Diego to keep track of medical equipment. Another application discussed was one that uses an EDS (Ethernet device server) to analyze patients’ vital signs. The third application discussed was an emergency call system that uses a mesh network of RF (radio frequency) modules to monitor the health and well-being of senior citizens in assisted living communities.
