Jerry has pretty much done and seen it all, so Nicole is excited to hear the advice he’s gathered through his years of experience. Nicole and Jerry talk about the power of social media, and Jerry notes that it was through Twitter that he came to work for The HYPE Magazine. Jerry tells Nicole his best practices for pitch writing, and gives inside tips for how to maximize your chances of landing a hit with HYPE. Nicole and Jerry agree on some of the best traits of successful publicists, which include being personable, friendly, and cognitive that there is a person on the other end of the line in everything you do. Jerry advises publicists to come to members of the media ready to build a relationship, and Nicole reminds people to always do their research! Lastly, Jerry and Nicole share where you can connect with them online.
