On our regular program, we feature guests who are experts in areas to help us build our “financial wealth”. On today’s program, however, I interview three individuals that are very involved in philanthropy and are making a lasting difference in the lives of others … building emotional, relational and spiritual “wealth” in some of the most difficult places, situations and countries in the world.

Listen in as we hear from Mariette Fourmeaux du Sartel, who is active in many ministries and projects. One of her passions is volunteering through a ministry that reaches into one of today’s darkest places … the California prison system. Hear about her work with Roger Ziegler – a former chiropractor who gave up his profession to work full-time with inmates, including those on death row. See www.PastorstoPrisoners.org for more information.

Jill McManigal is a remarkable mom of two, a California native, earned her Masters and Bachelors from USC, and has won several awards for her leadership in co-founding Kids for Peace. This year, they have over eight million children participating from 126 countries in their Great Kindness Challenge. (The next one is coming Jan 23-27, 2017) And, they have another program entitled the Peace Pledge Program. They turn the “peace pledge” into action in over forty countries, including Iraq, Pakistan, Rwanda, USA, etc. Go to www.KidsForPeaceGlobal.org for more details.

Herb Johnson gave up a seven-figure income to become the President & CEO of the San Diego Rescue Mission. Earning a fraction of the income he did in the for-profit world, his “psychic income” is huge. They are reaching the homeless & hurting, the single mothers with children, educating children living on the streets, providing a refuge and place of nurture to the less fortunate of our society. They have several new programs, including community college classes being taught right there at the Rescue Mission. Never at a loss for ideas and full of energy, Herb is a model of a life well lived … and there is simply no stopping him as they prepare for even greater things. Find out more at www.sdrescue.org.
