Champagne Veuve Fourny has been in the family since 1856, with Charles and his brother Emmanuel, both relatively young, currently in charge. Their widowed mother is still active at the domaine, while their father Roger is memorialized by their “Cuvee R.” Charles runs the marketing and sales of the domaine while Emmanuel is in charge of winemaking. Based in the village of Vertus on the Cotes des Blancs, the Fournys have extensive Chardonnay holdings and favor a very low dosage (extra brut style).
