Journalist Diana Palotas enjoyed a long career as a tv news anchor and reporter. Now a radio personality, she is also the community relations coordinator at the district attorney's office.

The company wants to be the IT department you don't have. We then learn more about our Not for Profit for the month of May, Children Awaiting Parents or CAP.The 40-year old agency led by Executive Director Mark Soule says the national non-profit recruits adoptive parents for children in foster care, many of them have special needs.

In our second hour, we meet a company helped by a county-sponsored loan. Laurie Broccolo applied and was accepted for a special interest loan to acquire a greenhouse business and expand her company, Broccolo Lawn and Tree Care. Broccolo and Attorney Wilsey from our earlier segments take us through the steps of the incentive program and how others can benefit.
Joining in the last segment, an update on the remarkable outreach happening at the Susan B. Anthony Museum and House in Rochester from its CEO Deborah Hughes. Ms. Anthony's original high-necked black lace gown she wore so often, is now on display at the museum on Madison Street.

On the CEO Hour this week, we learn about low-interest loans and tax iincentive programs offered at the County Level that could help your business expand by adding space or more employees. Judy Seil, Director of Planning and Development for Monroe County, NY home to Rochester, was our first guest. She explained the reasons behind programs like the MCIDC or Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation that offers low-interest real estate loans to businesses. Joining Seil, Karla Wilsey, real estate and estate planning attorney with Abrams Fensterman Law Firm. She is a member of the MCIDC board.
Before the hour ends, we hear from our new Not for Profit of the Month, Children Awaiting Parents or CAP. Started 40 years ago by a Rochester NY family that had adopted many children, it now creates new families by finding adoptive parents for foster children with special needs. Once kept in the shadows, 6,000 of these children are now "home" because of the CAP agency. Executive Director Mark Soule shares the inspirational story with us.

Sharon Lechter, author, CPA. international speaker on financial literacy and creator of Pay Your Family First and Thrive Time for Teens, motivated the listeners to take charge of their charge cards, and quit spending money if they don't have it. A frequent guest on the show, Sharon is the author of two books in association with the Napoleon Hill Foundation (he wrote Think and Grow Rich.) Those books are Outwitting the Devil and Three Feet From Gold. She also co-authored the series of Rich Dad Poor Dad books.
