    Ted Owen, President and CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, discusses the Chamber's recently launched Military Mentoring Initiative, "Boots in Business," designed to place active Camp Pendleton service personnel in local businesses for job shadowing and mentoring.

    Suzi Woodruff Lacey, Communications Director for the Salvation Army, chats about the organization's 125th year in San Diego, National Salvation Army Week (May 14-20), and the June 26 start date for construction to on the new Door of Hope Transitional Living Center for homeless mothers with children.

    Renowned classical violinist, Victoria Martino, discusses her mission of making history and culture come alive through her total immersion lecture and concert series at the Athenaeum in La Jolla. Martino discusses her recent Beethoven Memorial Marathon in which she performed all ten violin sonatas.

        Alison Beck, Director of Development and Communications, discusses her organization's 125th birthday celebration at its annual gala, set for Thursday, May 10 at the U.S. Grant Hotel. Beck talks about other San Diego Center for Children events and programs, such as its renowned music and reading programs.

        Brad Pagano, Senior Director of Fundraising for the March of Dimes, is joined by Anita Agunos of Jack in the Box, to discuss the Saturday, April 28 "March for Babies" event in Balboa Park. Pagano chats about the organization's mission, while Agunos talks about the 400-person strong Jack in the Box corporate team that will be participating in the event.
