Balancing Costs and Quality for Profit is the conference theme of the upcoming Wineries Unlimited, the second largest vineyard and winery conference and tradeshow in North America. Produced by Vineyard & Winery Management magazine since 1976, Wineries Unlimited, takes place March 9-12, 2010 at the Valley Forge Convention Center, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania in suburban Philadelphia. The conference theme, ‘Balancing Costs and Quality for Profit’, is both relevant and a top priority, said Richard Leahy, program director and East Coast editor of Vineyard & Winery Management. As with other goods, consumers are now buying wine more cautiously and spending less, while producers struggle to lower inventories and keep down costs. Despite the recession, we can’t afford to sacrifice wine quality, but we must stay profitable; the challenge is how to find the right balance that works for vineyards, wineries and their customers, Leahy explains.
