About the Host:
This weekly program is hosted by Dennis ‘Coach’ Snyder, a veteran educator in his forty-fourth year in the field of education. Snyder acquired the name ‘Coach’ as a result of thirty years as a teacher and football coach with the Escondido Union High School District before founding his first charter school, Escondido Charter High School in Escondido, California in 1996. Then in 2003, Snyder founded Heritage K-8 Charter School also located in Escondido. These two schools now comprise the Escondido Charter School District (ECSD). Snyder serves as the Executive Director of ECSD and is very active in the Charter School movement. He generously gives of his time to advise, consult and promote Charter Schools.
